.Here are some things to think about if you are considering becoming a storyteller.

To be a storyteller:

  • You must reside in Muncie/Delaware County.
  • The story you tell may involve incidents that occurred outside of Muncie/Delaware County and at any point in your life.
  • The story should focus on the impact of racism on your life. It should focus on one or more specific incidents, what you experienced, the feelings and reactions it brought up, the impact on the rest of your life, your family, how it shaped you, and how you dealt with it. The story can also focus on the meaning of race for you, how being of your race impacts your everyday life, the barriers it has presented for you, the positive aspects of being a member of your race. You know best your own story. Our job will be to help you express it.
